The Danckwerts family have been stock ranching in the Kat River District of the Eastern Cape for the past 70 years and have been actively involved in the safari industry for the past ten. Andre and Val spend many an evening at Nxakwe Lodge ensuring that the clients every comfort and need is attended to. Val and Yvette pride their catering with unique and interesting meals prepared to guests taste. Murray is a qualified Professional Hunter and grew up on the family ranch where he spent many a day honing his skills as a young hunter. During this time he developed an intermit knowledge of the Kat River habitat and the wildlife it supports. Consequently he has accumulated a vast knowledge of the bushveld animals and their behaviour. Murray has been a professional hunter for the past ten years guiding both plains game and dangerous game. Yvette handles the administrative side of Nxakwe lodge and together with Andre and Val is responsible for the smooth running of the lodge.
